With school starting again, many parents are looking for a little extra help for their child in math, or looking to provide an enrichment experience above and beyond what the school can offer. Others are looking for a tutor to help their child prepare for private school testing or the advanced programs provided by the public schools (in Seattle, those are the APP and Spectrum programs).
Whatever your math needs, you have come to the right place! I am happy to work with your child to assess their needs, provide a little “catch-up” help, prepare them for testing, or provide an-going enrichment experience throughout the year.
Look around the rest of the site, and then visit the Contact Me page to tell me what your child needs. Have a great fall!
School is just ending, and homeschoolers are lightening their loads for the summer, but it’s not too early to start planning for the fall!
I am going to be teaching several classes on Wednesdays again this fall – right now the offerings range from 3rd grade level to 6th grade level! You can look at the Classes Offered page to see descriptions, and then Contact Me if any of them sound appealing.
I am also starting to fill out my tutoring schedule, so let me know if private tutoring is what you are looking for.
Also, I am teaching over the summer, so if you have a kid who needs some review, or enrichment, contact me and we can make either a regular arrangement or just schedule a few sessions.
It’s January, and the skies are grey, but we still love doing math! One of the best things about tutoring is how much it teaches me as well. I get to learn how your student understands concepts, and I have the freedom to structure my lessons so that they really get a deep grasp on a subject. And I love to hear the insights from kids! It’s amazing, the ideas they come up with when challenged by a subject. If you have a need for a tutor, or are interested in creating a math class for your child, go to my contact page, and let’s talk. Have a happy winter!
